Gull Pond
Gull Pond, also known as Gull Bar, is a gravelly point hanging down from
the underbelly of Prince Edward County. It provides the only shelter,
however limited, between Long Point to the east and Point Petre to the
west, a stretch of about 22 kilometres exposed to the open waters of
Lake Ontario. The white beaches are washed limestone rocks and zebra
mussel
shells. Cracks are visible in the underwater layer of limestone rock.
